There's no question that Drake has reached superstar status throughout his decade-long career so far, but Irv Gotti is giving him another iconic label. The Murder Inc. co-founder speaks on a slew of topics on the Drink Champs podcast with N.O.R.E., where he deems Drizzy as the Eminem of today.

While talking about the Toronto rapper's success, Irv implies that Drake would be selling even more than he is now if he was coming up in the late 90's and early 2000's when Murder Inc. was at its peak. He also calls Drizzy a "genius" before claiming him to be equivalent to Eminem in today's era.

"If Drake was in my era, Drake would be selling 15 million, 20 million a clip," he explains in the clip below. "Do you realize this? So right now, he sells three, four. If he was in my era, he'd be selling 15, 20. I know this, so I'm like, once he does something outside the music genre, he's gonna see how colossal he is. That nigga's colossal. He's a genius. That motherfucker's a genius, okay? Drizzy for sure is a genius, yo. He's, dare I say, our Eminem of today... he's fucking Eminem."

In another clip from the podcast, Gotti also talks about Eminem's verse on "Renegade" with Jay-Z back in the day, boldly stating that Em "bodied" Hov on the track. Although he's received a lot of backlash for the comments, the hip-hop mogul clarifies on Instagram that he was drunk and high during the episode recording, and still has all the love for Jay.

"I was drunk and high," he writes. "And I am in no way saying that I didn’t say that. I did. In my opinion. Again. In my opinion. Eminem was iller on RENEGADE. Now. In no way shape or form does that mean I do not LOVE my brother Jay Z. OR. That I don’t feel Jay Z is by far the Best Rapper Alive."
