Today, Nov. 16, marks the 34th birthday of Bay Area rapper Kool A.D.! The rhymer was once a part of the band Boy Crisis, as well as the more popular collective Das Racist. For years now, A.D. has been focused on his solo music and art, creating trippy visuals for the majority of his tracks. He also sells his pieces on his Instagram.

Particular standouts in A.D.'s career are his albums O.K., Peyote Karaoke and Zig Zag Zig, as they all consist of 100 tracks and features from the likes of Wiki, Talib Kweli and Toro y Moi. The former, which clocked in at six hours and 38 minutes, served as a preface to Kool A.D.'s novel of the same name. O.K. naturally has 100 chapters, along with two different versions; he did major in English, so no surprise there.

He's currently promoting his latest 100-song LP, October's Aztec Yoga. His entire discography can be listened to on his Bandcamp site.

Happy Birthday, Kool A.D.!
