DJ Mustard has landed himself some major opportunities over the course of his career so far, and now he's dipping into the comedy world. According to reports, the West Coast producer is serving as the music supervisor for Russell Simmons' upcoming HBO series, All Def Comedy.

The new show is slated to premiere on the network on Fri. Dec. 1, and will be more or less a successor to the Simmons' famous Def Jam Comedy show from the 1990s, which was also later revived in 2006. All Def Comedy follows a similar style to that of Def Comedy Jam, as it will feature both established comics, as well as up-and-coming talent.

So far, plenty of names are featured on the bill, including Deon Cole, DeRay Davis, Gary Owen and JJ Williamson, as well as new performers such as Alex Babbitt, Tony Baker, Sydney Castillo, Henry Coleman and many more. Tony Rock has been recruited as the official host for the series, while Mustard will be in charge of the music.

If you recall, Def Comedy Jam also recently celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special on Netflix earlier this year, which included sets from Dave Chappelle, Kevin Hart, Tracy Morgan and Katt Williams.

Be sure to tune into All Def Comedy on HBO on Dec. 1.
