Gearing up for the release of his Beach House 3 album, Ty Dolla $ign stopped by radio station 106 KMEL to reveal some new details about the album. After premiering a few tracks from the upcoming project, Ty Dolla revealed the album will also feature a collaboration with John Mayer.

According to Ty, the collaboration happened after Mayer commented on a cover Ty Dolla posted online. The two eventually linked up when Ty invited the singer to the studio. After smoking, Mayer hoped in the recording booth and the two recorded a "crazy ass acoustic song" featuring Ty Dolla singing, while Mayer plays the guitar.

Ty Dolla also discussed the album's title, saying it doesn't represent a literal beach house. "It's more so like a metaphorical thing, meaning success to me" he said. "So, I called my project Beach House, just like to keep that dream alive."

While footage of the interview doesn't feature new music, Ty Dolla did play the Mayer collaboration, along with other tracks for the audience in attendance. The singer also premiered the final version of "Pineapple" featuring Gucci Mane and Quavo, as well as a remix of "Dawsin's Breek" featuring A$AP Rocky.

While the official tracklist has yet to be revealed, the 20-song album will also include appearances from Swae Lee, Future, Jeremih and YG. Beach House is set to release on Oct. 27 via Atlantic Records.
