Kyle is trying to go from rap star to movie star. Filming just wrapped on a new motion picture he will be making his acting debut in titled The After Party. Wiz Khalifa and French Montana will also co-star in the film.

Filming for the movie started last month. The Netflix original is a collaboration between Russell Simmons' Def Pictures, Live Nation Productions, WorldStar Hip Hop and Hunting Lane Films. According to Variety, "The movie has a music business theme, following two buddies looking to land a record deal before one heads to college and the other to the military."

Others starring in the film include Teyana Taylor, Jordan Rock, Blair Underwood and more. The movie was written and directed by Ian Edelman.

"Can't explain how amazing of a journey shooting my first movie has been," Kyle recently captioned pictures from the set on Instagram. "I've made friends here Ill have for the rest of my life. Ill never have the pleasure of working with so many incredible people again. To the amazing crew and cast thanks for making it fun for me, and making me feel comfortable in a new world. I can't wait for you all to see this.. #TheAfterParty 🎥🎥🎥."

Uncle Rush is amped about the forthcoming release as well. "Guys get ready for afterparty 2. Can't wait for the world to see your brilliance. -and Def pictures presents the afterparty," he wrote on IG.

The movie will be coming out in 2018.
