It's been over a year since Yasiin Bey announced his retirement from rap, but it looks like fans don't have to worry about him dropping off the radar completely. The rapper, who recently dropped the collabo "Buy My App," gave what appeared to be the last performance of his career at the ONE MusicFest in Atlanta over the weekend, but he revealed it might not be his last mark in music.

While speaking with the Associated Press, the rap veteran, formerly known as Mos Def, says that despite his retirement, he will always be creating, and assures fans that he won't be disappearing if he stops rapping.

"I enjoyed it today," he explains. "So if I get a chance to do it again in another way, I'll just give it my all. I'm always going to be creating. ... I'm not going to disappear if I stop rap or doing it in a certain type of way."

He was also asked about what his plans are after the finale performance, but rather than getting specific, he said that he has things that he's working on, but wants to focus on one event at a time.

"I'm just trying to get through today." Bey said. "I've got plans. I'm just grateful to be alive to tell you the truth. I've got plans and things I've been working on but I'm just happy for today."

If you recall, Bey announced his retirement from rap after being arrested in South Africa when authorities believed that he had a fraud passport, holding him in the country for an extended period of time.
