Swizz Beatz is in some serious legal trouble after he was recently hit with a $16 million lawsuit that alleges he was part of a luxury car scam.

Swizzy was slapped with the suit on Friday (Sept. 8) in Nassau Supreme Court, the New York Post reports. The suit claims Swizz "resold or fraudulently used" exotic whips.

According the report, similar claims were made against the super producer by Long Island-based Metro Gem Leasing last year. In that filing, Metro's lawyers claimed Beatz and his wife, Alicia Keys' company, AK Worldwide, owed big bucks after defaulting on car leases and refusing to return the rides. The suit was eventually thrown out.

Beatz's lawyer, Matthew West is calling the latest filing, “nothing more than a desperate attempt to shake down a public figure.”

AK Worldwide lawyer John Rosenberg echoed his sentiment calling the suit a, “frivolous attempt to resurrect baseless claims.”

Musically, Swizz is in a good space. A couple weeks ago, he previewed a new collab with Lil Wayne. He also recently got a major co-sign from Kendrick Lamar, who named the NYC producer as a beatmaker he wants to get in the studio with.

Fans are still waiting for what should be an epic beat battle match up with Timbaland, after the two traded friendly shots online and agreed to meet up and settle the score at an undetermined time.
