Pimp C’s Wife Denies UGK Archives Were Destroyed in Hurricane Harvey

The damages of Hurricane Harvey have been extensive and devastating, but UGK fans are in panic mode, as reports surfaced that the group's archives were potentially destroyed in the storm. After Bun B's wife, Queenie, claimed that Pimp C's son, Chad, was stuck in six feet of water at his grandmother's house, which contained the archives, the late rapper's wife says reports of the archives being damaged are false.

Chinara Butler reposted Queenie's Instagram post about Chad's circumstances, and although the caption wrote about UGK's archives being destroyed, a rep for Butler tells Fader she was simply trying to post Chad's address so others could help. The rep denies the entirety of UGK's catalogue was destroyed and says there is no truth to that statement, being that they're "in secured locations."

"Mrs. Butler's memorabilia and archive items are safe and in secured locations," the spokesperson states. "We can not confirm the information being spoken on Chad Jr's behalf because Chinara does not know what items were at the residence in question, nor has she spoken with him to confirm the loss and what it entailed."

The rep also confirms that Chinara simply wanted to share Chad's address so that resources could be sent to him.

"All Chinara wanted to do in posting the information in question was share the address in the post and use her resources to send help. She was able to do that, and is now focused on being part of the solution to bring Texas back stronger than ever."

We're glad to hear that the UGK archives seem to be safe, but we are still keeping Chad and all of the other victims of Hurricane Harvey in our prayers.
