Lil B Says He’s the Only Rapper Who Doesn’t Sound Like Future or Migos

Lil B has always stood out among other rappers, and now he's claiming he's one of the few original artists left in hip-hop. On Friday (Sept. 22), the Bay Area artist went on a mini Twitter rant, calling himself the only rapper who doesn't share the same sound as Migos or Future.

He tweeted, "Lil B the only rapper who doesn't rap like the Migos or sound like future in 2017!! He is truly an original!!!" Lil B then went on to say he inspired many of hip-hop's most popular artists today, including Gucci Mane, Ugly God and Ski Mask The Slump God.

"Lil B is the reason why gucci mane is positive!!!" he tweeted. "Nobody in hip hop was cool and positive but lil b! I'm original 'The BasedGod' ! - Lil B." He added, "6 God trap god ugly god ski mask the slump god we all no that was inspired by "The BasedGod" the original! No lil b no culture!"

The Based God also made a plea to be featured on DJ Khaled's next album, tweeting, "DJ Khalid (sic) need to put lil b on one of his next projects or he not really the culture period I'm calling out names TAP in."

Earlier this month, Lil B offered to help Houston and Florida rappers affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma by giving them free verses: "Florida I got y'all back music and and artist effected by natural disasters are getting free Lil B verses like all Texas artist."
