Hip-Hop is subjective, and therefore always up for debate. DJ Akademiks recently started one good argument on Twitter about whether Lil Wayne's 2008 album, Tha Carter III is a classic.

Things started bubbling on Twitter earlier today after the Everyday Struggle host was critical of the third installment in Weezy's Carter series. "Carter 3 aint no f*cking classic. Carter 2 is," he posted. "The 2 mixtapes he dropped right before Carter 3 were better than Carter 3...."

He added, "I cant call Carter 3 no classic when songs that got LEAKED or left Off the album were better than songs that ended up making the album. FOH."

Needless to say, people started chiming in, including TM88 who is a fan of the project. "Carter 3 changed music at one point....just my personal opinion," the producer tweeted.

Fans then began to get in on the argument, offering their own opinions on the project, which started to trend on Twitter.

Tha Carter III dropped in June of 2008, and ended up going platinum in its first week out, spearheaded by the hit single, "Lollipop," which became Weezy's most successful single at that time. It also featured the bangers "A Milli," "Got Money" and "Mrs. Officer." The project has been certified platinum three times over.

What do you think? Classic or nah?
