After scoring the No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Cardi B has now earned her first platinum record ever thanks to her hit song, "Bodak Yellow."

Cardi celebrated the feat on Instagram, posting a photo of the plaques with a caption that read, "PLATINUM!!!!!! Thank you BARDIGANG, FRIENDS, Family, Radio personality ,DJs,ARTIST!!!! Made it happen for me !!!" A rep for rapper's record label, Atlantic Records, confirmed the news to XXL.

On Monday (Sept. 25), the New York artist made history when "Bodak Yellow" became the first song by a female solo rapper to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 19 years. Before that, Lauryn Hill and her song, "Doo Wop (That Thing)," were the last to achieve the feat.

Cardi received praise for her achievement from her fellow rappers including Nicki Minaj and Missy Elliot. On Twitter, Nicki tweeted, “Congratulations to a fellow NEW YAWKA on a RECORD BREAKING achievement. Bardi, this is the only thing that matters!!! Enjoy it," while Missy wrote, “Congratulations @iamcardib for having a #1 record in the country that’s not as easy as it seem this huge🙌🏾 May u have continued blessings🙏🏾,."

Up next for Cardi B, the 24-year-old is preparing for the release of her debut album but has yet to lock down a release date. During a recent interview with Power 105's The Breakfast Club, Cardi detailed the reason for the holdup.

“I wanted to drop next month,” she explained. “Every single time I think I got all the 10 songs I’m like, I’m buggin'. These ain’t it. It’s just like, damn I’m competing with myself. I’m competing with the goddamn No. 2 record [on the Billboard Hot 100] and stuff.”
