It's been two years since the hip-hop community lost one of its greatest lyricists, veteran MC Sean Price. The Brownsville, Brooklyn native's legacy continues to live on through the lives of his close friends, wife and daughter, and today we're finally able to hear from the rap heavyweight one last time on his newly released, posthumous album, Imperius Rex.

Imperius Rex features collabos with Freeway, Raekwon, Smif-n-Wessun, Method Man and high-quality production from The Alchemist, Nottz and Harry Fraud. Notably rapper MF DOOM appears on "Negus," a track which premiered yesterday (Aug.7) as part of his The Missing Notebook Rhymes collective via Adult Swim.

Another standout single comes from Price's wife, Bernadette, who raps on "Dead or Alive" and the album's closing track, "Price Family." The video for "Dead or Alive"—which also dropped today—sees Bernadette as the Brownsville Zoo's gorilla keeper and actor Michael Rapaport, a longtime friend and fan of Price, who plays a hilarious unenthused news reporter. Before the release of Imperius Rex, Duck Down Music created limited edition LP packages for fans containing priceless Price memorabilia. The package includes an 84-page hardcover book filled with rare photos of the "Definition of God" rapper, an 11×17 poster of Imperius Rex's cover art and an exclusive Sean Price Challenge coin.
