R. Kelly is refuting claims that his tour dates have been canceled amid allegations that he is running some sort of sex cult.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Kells had to nix four dates on his Afterparty Tour because of low ticket sales as the result of the wild report that claims the R&B singer manipulates and abuses a group of young women he has living with him.

But the Chicago crooner recently hopped on Instagram to deny those reports. "I want to thank all the fans for coming out and supporting me," he said. "I want everybody in the world to know, ain't no tours canceled, man. Despite what you hear, don't believe the hype. I haven't cancelled not one show. I'm ready to get it in tonight."

While Kelly is out touring, he has issues to deal with over these claims. The parents of one of the women who is allegedly being held at Kelly's compound have secured lawyers in order to try to get their daughter to return home, reports TMZ. The woman, Joycelyn Savage, has already put out a video denying she is being held against her will, so this could get interesting.

Kells has turned into even more of a polarizing figure in the hip-hop community, with some calling him out and others riding for the singer. Director John Singleton has come to the singer's defense, claiming he's not doing anything illegal. “He’s not misunderstood,” Singleton explained when asked if he thinks R. Kelly is misjudged by TMZ. “He has a bunch of girlfriends, a lot of people have a bunch of girlfriends.”

However, these accusations and Kelly's checkered past are enough for other people to wash their hands of the Chicago singer. “Fuck R. Kelly,” Vic Mensa recently said. “R. Kelly is a scumbag and a very dirty man. He needs to be locked up forever.”
