Fresh off dropping his newest album, The Darkest Hour, Madchild heads to Bollywood in the video for "Drama." Peep XXL's exclusive premiere of the creative new visual for yourself below.

The story, rendered immaculately through the expertly wielded lens of Director Shantanu Tungare of Revolution Art Technology, begins with an ultra-cinematic clip of Madchild walking into an Indian temple to receive his martial arts master's last blessing before embarking upon his impossibly perilous mission. It's a blessing he appears to receive. Adorned in the garb of an ancient Rajput Warrior, he lifts his sword to the sky and prepares to take on the task at hand.

"I flew to India to shoot this video. The location was in Bollywood where they shoot a popular soap opera," Madchild tells XXL. "The outside shots were around the perimeter of the property. The inspiration was basically me training as a warrior and coming in to save two girls that were being held against their will."

A fedora-wearing Madchild arrives to save the women from captivity and quickly begins to disarm his foes with lightning quick hands and razor sharp technique. By the time it's all said and done, he and the recently freed women are kicking back, as "Drama" acts as the soundtrack.

"Drama," a standout from The Darkest Hour, is one of the 14 tracks produced by Evidence of Dilated Peoples on the album. Madchild says working with the accomplished rapper-producer was all he could have hoped for.

"It has been a great experience working with Evidence on The Darkest Hour," explains Madchild, who's also worked with Tech N9ne in the past. "He's always been an incredible MC and producer and we've been friends a long time. The result was exactly what I was looking for and this album feels a little more mature than previous releases, but still a natural evolution for me as an artist."

On the horizon, Madchild will continue building on the momentum he's established with his new album by heading out on tour.

"I will be touring Australia in September, then we have a co-headlining tour with Necro across Canada in October, followed by a European and U.K. headlining in November and December," reveals the "Grenade Launcher" rapper. "Besides that, I'm always recording new material and shooting music videos."
