There aren't too many things A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie hasn't done this year. Aside from welcoming his first born into the world in January, the Bronx, N.Y. native has proven he's a force to reckon with or without a feature, and has continued to push new music just about every month. Now with the entire city behind him, the 2017 XXL Freshman has been awarded his fourth platinum record for "Drowning" featuring Freshman alum Kodak Black.

"Drowning" became an instant hit upon its release on March 10, with A Boogie's hooks becoming one of this year's hottest as he rap-sings "Wrist so icy, wonder why she like me, bitch I'm drownin'/In water, I just bought a Cuban, dipped it in a fountain/Everywhere that I go it's a light show, I'm surrounded/Bust down, bust down, bust down, bust down, bust down, bitch I'm drownin'." The single went gold on June 6, selling well over one million units as of July 27, and peaked at No. 41 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. A Boogie was awarded three other platinum plaques in the last year for his solo hits "Timeless," "Jungle," and "My Shit."

A Boogie and Kodak also collaborated on "Horses" with fellow Freshman and Atlantic signee PnB Rock. In January, Rock confirmed him and Boogie have a joint project in the works, telling XXL, "All of the people keep asking for it and we just be together so much so it was just like, why not?"

While discussing his spot in this year's Freshman class, A Boogie admitted he never imagined getting this far in the game. “When I was making it, I put my all into it," he explained. "But you never know what’s going to happen with something you make. I knew it was going to make it somewhere but not this big, this bag. It just shot up, it just not go down.”

Congrats, A Boogie!
