Sometimes you're just in it for the love of the game. At least, that's how it appears to be for Logic, who gets into a rap battle with his own bodyguard in a video he recently posted to Instagram. Peep the lighthearted showdown below.

Setting things off is Logic, who comes at his bodyguard with a joke about his skin-tone. "You don't understand what I got to say and that's a fact/It's night out time, and we can't see your ass 'cause you too Black," he raps, causing his friends to burst out in laughter.

Of course, the bodyguard strikes back with a quick line about the Maryland rapper's receding hairline, earning a fair amount of yells and laughs from their super-small audience in the process.

Logic doesn't back down, though, and comes through with what was probably the best line of the low-stakes battle. "You want to talk shit, I got it/But why can't you get a bitch unless you say, "I work for Logic,'" he spits. Ouch. The posted portion of the battle ends right there.

Logic, who dropped his acclaimed Everybody album a couple of months back, is coming off founding his own record label a little less than a month ago. He says he created the label, which is called Elysium, to support the people he cares about most.

“Elysium was created mainly because I don’t trust anybody else, with the precious cargo that is my family—from Lenny, Damian, John Lindahl and my wife. Like, I don’t trust anyone else,” Logic explained on the day he launched the label.

He continues, “I wanted to create a place where they can feel free and literally do whatever they want, because this is so much more than just music. It really is a family, you know? So many people that support me are gonna support these artists. What we’re all here to represent is following your dreams. Because each and every artist that was here didn’t have anything handed to them, and that’s why I’m so happy I’ve been put in a position where I can shed light on these people.”

Sounds like a dope plan. Check out Logic's battle skills in action right below. Maybe after he's dropped his last album ever we'll get to see him get into more battles.
