Trae Tha Truth returns with his ninth studio album Tha Truth Pt. 3 on Friday (July 21), and XXL has the exclusive premiere of the LP. Stream it below.

Some of the biggest artists in rap are featured on the project, including Post Malone, Young Thug, Lil Durk, D.R.A.M., Maxo Kream, Tee Grizzley, Royce 5'9" and many more.

"Tha Truth Pt. 3 is my best album to date, full of instant classics and timeless music," Trae tells XXL. "It's very personal; one of the most personal albums I've ever made. I talk about family, like my brother who was murdered, and I talk about the ups and downs I've gone through to get to where I am now."

Back in 2008, the mayor of Houston proclaimed July 22 as Trae Day to honor the MC's work within the community. This year, Trae's upping the stakes: "I’m going all out. I have over 30 artists coming out for a free concert and the celebration will last for three days. This year I have an area for snow and ice so kids can sled, I have an exotic petting zoo with camels and other animals, we have 20 bouncy castles, laser tag, face-painting, power wheels, and canoeing, McDonalds is giving away $10k in gifts and food coupons, we’re also giving away a few Bump Boxes, a set of rims, school supplies and backpacks. There’ll be a truck giving free immunizations and HIV testing, we’re giving free haircuts, and on the morning of my album release, I’m taking kids and their families with me to the Children’s Museum."

Growing up without a lot of support, Trae knows what it's like to grow up without being able to do certain things. That's why Trae Day is important to him. "It’s a blessing for me to be able to do this," he says. "I never planned on having a holiday but to be the big homie and give back is super dope. When I came up I used to have that feeing like when you don’t really have nobody—it felt like you against the world sometimes. I hated that feeling to the point I just said, if I ever had the opportunity, I would help someone not feel this way."
