As two of perhaps the most accomplished acts to emerge from New York City's infamous Queensbridge housing projects, Nas and Mobb Deep will always be linked in hip-hop's pantheon of legends. With that in mind, it's only right Nas served up a tribute to the late Prodigy, who died unexpectedly two weeks ago. At the 2017 Woo Hah! Festival in the Netherlands, Nas did just that, performing "Shook Ones, Pt. II" in front of an enthusiastic crowd.

With P's image projected behind him, Nas ripped through a performance of the legendary Mobb Deep single as the audience rapped many of the lyrics along with him. Upon the track's completion, Nas led a chant celebrating the fellow QB legend before shouting, "We love you Prodigy."

Two weeks removed from the death of Prodigy, the hip-hop community is still reeling. Speaking with us just a few days after the rapper's untimely passing, fellow New York City wordsmith Fabolous discussed P's impact on his own musical upbringing.

"I grew up on his music," Fab explained. "I made an Instagram post where I stated that I used to listen to Mobb Deep’s The Infamous album every morning going to school. He definitely impacted my love for hip-hop. He’s one of the artists that put a brick in that building."
