Getting props from a prominent person in your field is a gratifying moment, but attaining praise from someone who many consider to be the best to ever do it has to be bucket list status. French Montana recently revealed he was delighted to receive a text from JAY-Z, who gave him props on his album, more specifically the song, "Famous."

The Bronx MC was recently a guest on Angie Martinez's radio show where he revealed the correspondence he had with Hov. "JAY-Z hit me yesterday and said 'Famous' was his favorite record," French told Angie. "I love him because he hit me with the, 'I wish that record was mine. And I don't wish for too much.' And he ended it off with the laugh."

French's new album, Jungle Rules debuted two weeks ago. Per usual, the new LP features a ridiculous cast of cameos including Max B, The Weeknd, Quavo, Young Thug, Future, Pharrell and T.I., Travis Scott, Chinx and others.

The album was spearheaded by the single, "Unforgettable" featuring Rae Sremmurd's Swae Lee. The song wound up being French's first Top 10 Billboard hit.

The "Pop That" rapper recently dropped the video for "Whiskey Eyes," a single off the album that pays homage to and features the late Chinx.
