Big Sean Appears On Coldplay’s New Song “Miracles (Someone Special)”
British rock band Coldplay isn't a common hip-hop related music group (JAY-Z collab aside). So even though they have yet to respond to a Lil Yachty collaboration, the bands' latest single sees some optimistic wordplay from Big Sean. Hear the new song below.
The lyric video for "Miracles (Someone Special)" features folks all of all ages from different nationalities, who Coldplay and Big Sean all deem unique and destined to make changes in the world. On the inspirational track, Sean creatively narrates his journey through school and why he decided to push his rapping hobby to the forefront, providing positive reinforcement for those who doubt their talents. "I had to set my mind free/I was trusting statistics more than I trust me/Get a degree, good job, 401k/But I'm trying to turn K's to M's what does it take?" he raps on the second verse. "Miracles (Someone Special)" appears on Coldplay's latest EP, Kaleidoscope, released last week (July 13).
About two years ago, Coldplay called on Beyoncé and her daughter, Blue Ivy, for their angelic voices on their album A Head Full of Dreams. Seeing how the band's lead singer Chris Martin is an ally of Jay's, it was only right to feature the two of them. Blue Ivy appeared throughout the album in a choir, while Beyoncé made a controversial statement in the video for "Hymn For The Weekend."
