Having a billboard made in your honor is pretty lofty praise, and despite having yet to become a household name, Atlanta rapper Trouble had that opportunity afforded to him last year. The moment was a testament to his status as a hero in his hometown. Since making his debut in 2011 with his December 17th mixtape, Trouble has built a strong following, blessing his fans with a consistent stream of material and gaining respect among his peers as an authentic representation of the ATL streets.

The Duct Tape Entertainment franchise player, who found a fan in Drake of all people and have since collaborated together, has all the makings of a trap star, however, the fact that his stage name is also indicative of his behavior outside of the booth has hindered his ascension out of the underground into the mainstream. After hitting his stride with acclaimed releases like #ZayDidIt, Skoob Fresh and Skoobzilla, as well as an appearance on YFN Lucci's hit "Key to the Streets," Trouble's hot streak would be halted after being arrested. The rapper was held without bond in 2016, and charged with multiple misdemeanor and felony charges.

Trouble would ultimately be released and resume his career, which has been on the uptick as of late. This positive momentum makes it as perfect a time as any to return with a new collection of tracks. While more of an appetizer than an entree, 16, Trouble's latest offering, is a worthwhile listen. With appearances from T.I., Boosie Badazz, Skippa Da Flippa, and PeeWee Longway, Trouble keeps the vibe southern as he whets the appetites of his devoted band of supporters.
