A couple of days ago, Tidal ads with the time 4:44 began popping up all over New York City, and fans started speculating that it was a sign of a forthcoming Jay Z album. It now appears they are part of a new visual.

During Game 3 of the 2017 NBA Finals yesterday (June 7), a Tidal-produced clip featuring Oscar-winning actor Mahershala Ali played on TV. In the trailer, we see Ali boxing a punching bag, with Danny Glover acting as his trainer. At the end of the clip, the credits list 4:44 as a project featuring Ali, Glover and acclaimed 12 Years a Slave actress Lupita Nyong’o as the stars of the project, which appears to be a film streaming exclusively on Tidal, which is a Jay Z-owned streaming service.

Is it so much for 4:44 being a Jay Z album? Beyoncé's Lemonade was also premiered as a film, so perhaps there's still a chance this still has something to do with new music from Hov. There are definitely some signs Hov is in album mode, though. Recently, Swizz Beatz uploaded an Instagram post hinting the Roc Nation boss is making a new project.

“They don’t even know what’s about to happen 😂😂😂🙏🏽 Album ModeZone⚡️," Swizzy wrote in the caption for the tantalizing post, which featured an image of himself and Hov.

In addition to that, Jay is all set to co-headline the 2017 Made in America Festival with J. Cole. He's also been chosen to headline the Austin City Limits Festival set to take place in October. Hov season could still be on the way.

In any case, peep the 4:44 trailer just below.
