Rihanna's going all out for her 2017 Diamond Ball. Today (June 20), it's been revealed the event—a black tie fundraiser designed to benefit Rihanna's Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF)—will be hosted by the great Dave Chappelle and will feature a performance from Kendrick Lamar, who's still riding the momentum of his platinum-selling DAMN. album.

CLF is an organization Rihanna created and dedicated to her grandparents, Clara and Lionel Braithwaite, back in 2012. The organization aims to provide funding for things like "innovative education projects, scholarships, healthcare programs, and local micro grants."

Clearly, CLF represents a worthy cause, and appearances from K. Dot and Chappelle offers Diamond Ball attendees a chance to enjoy premium entertainment while working toward the betterment of the world around them.

Chappelle is most well known for his hit sketch comedy series, Chappelle's Show, and is coming off two acclaimed standup comedy specials on Netflix. K. Dot, meanwhile, has been everywhere from the top of the Billboard charts to commercials for the NBA playoffs. In other words, both Kung Fu Kenny and Chappelle should draw more than a few people to the 2017 Diamond Ball.

Rihanna's excited about the event. "‎I’m thrilled that the incomparable Dave Chappelle will kick things off as the official host of this year’s Diamond Ball and Kendrick Lamar will take the stage for an unforgettable performance," Rihanna said in a statement released earlier today. "I’m proud of the Clara Lionel Foundation’s significant impact in the world over the years and deeply grateful for the continued support and commitment to advancing our mission."

The 2017 Diamond Ball will take place on Sept. 14 at New York City's Cipriani Wall Street. More details should surface very soon.
