Update:

Vince Staples confirms his new album, Big Fish Theory, is dropping next month, not in May. The rapper had fans wondering what the date of May 19 meant when he tweeted it out earlier this week. While the album release was expected to come, that's not the case. Staples will drop Big Fish Theory on June 23.

Original Story:

Is there a such thing as Christmas in May? Technically, no, but a new Vince Staples album is the next best thing. Yesterday (May 14), Vince appeared to let loose the release date for his forthcoming album, Big Fish Theory. He used his Twitter account to make the announcement.

"It's time to go crazy," he said in one tweet near the earliest part of this past Sunday morning. His next album-related tweet came several hours later, and thought what was written was similarly simple, he also provided a link to his Instagram account, which brings us to an image of his album Big Fish Theory album cover. "5.19.17," he wrote in the tweet.

In his next album-related tweet, Vince simply included included the words, "Friday 12 am," while once again providing an image of his album cover. So there you have it: Vince's new album's coming this Friday.

We don't know too much about the project. Three months ago we learned Vince's new album would be coming soon, and that was just a few days after he dropped "BagBak," which should pop up on his new album.

The last full body of work Vince dropped was last summer's super-dope Prima Donna EP. Now we have a release date for his new album, and things can't be too much better. We just have to wait a few days.

For now, you can peep Vince's tweets announcing a date below.
