Stream Kami’s ‘Just Like the Movies’ Album

And just like that, KAMI's eagerly awaited Just Like the Movies album has arrived. Executive-produced by Knox Fortune, the new project sees the Leather Corduroys member take on New Wave as he cruises over synth-laden instrumentals that could've easily been the soundtrack for The Breakfast Club.

KAMI's been working on the project for a long while now, and listening to it, you really get the feeling it came out exactly the way he wanted it to—which is really impressive, since he started out as a rapper.  "Scene Girl" is one of the album's highlights.

In keeping strong ties to his SaveMoney roots, KAMI's newest project features appearances from Vic Mensa, Towkio and Joey Purp. Purp and Mensa appeared in the video for "Home Movies" several months ago.

Jumping from rap to New Wave isn't supposed to be easy, but KAMI makes it seem that way in his newest project, which you can check out for yourself below. The album will hit retailers on Friday (May 5).
