In a recent HipHopDX interview, Starlito and Don Trip, one of the best duos in hip-hop right now, were asked about their feelings on Post Malone's song "White Iverson." The question stemmed from the fact that Trip had released a song called "Allen Iverson" years prior.

“I don’t know. I don’t know if I ever heard that song,” Trip said of Posty's record. “I ain’t taking no shots, man. I don’t listen to everything. I couldn’t possibly keep up with everything. Just being real.”

But Starlito knew about the song, and he was much more opinionated about it.

“I thought it was a little bit exploitive,” said Lito. “On a lot of cultural levels. That’s what I thought and felt. I had an opinion about that record. I had just met the Sauce Twinz and they were the only people in the world that I had heard use [saucin’]. I was kind of taken back by it because it was a big record and I was like, ‘Damn, that’s they shit.’ Then, like, ‘White Iverson?’ I don’t think I could make a ‘Black John Stockton’ record. Maybe not me but a black artist in general, it would be taken in a whole different [way]. I don’t know. I’m a conspiracy theorist, I look at shit really weird like, ‘Damn is this not any different than some blackface type shit?’ That was my first impression of that record, seeing the guy with cornrows. That’s what I saw and heard, almost like some kind of bigotry-laden stuff. I mean I know [some of his] people, we got some mutual acquaintances. I don’t know. I feel like my first impression from the record wasn’t far off from the way it played out.”

Then on Saturday (May 27), tension flared up again when Lito retweeted Post's picture with Iverson and said, "Plot Twist: Bubba Chuck snuffed him & will be wired $3M Tuesday a.m. when banks re-open #extortion #reappropriation."

What followed was a back-and-forth between Star and Post on Twitter. Post said "lol wish i had 3 million to wire, and Lito responded, "Bric can't save you.. Iverson would never self-deprecate in the face of a difference of opinion or slight. You owe Twin nem outta H-Town too."

"bruh it sucks you're so ignorant I used to like your shit. how're you gonna say anything about when you've never met me?" shot back Post. Lito responded, "a) not your "bruh" b) not ignorant c) @HipHopDX asked a question, during an intelligent discussion. d) not your "bruh" e) I'm saucin on u."

Then, Post tweeted a picture of himself sitting in front of a platinum plaque for his album Stoney and a 4x platinum plaque for the song in question, "White Iverson." He put that pic next to a search of Starlito's name on the RIAA website that turned up zero results, poking fun at the fact that Lito has no plaques to his name.

Then Don Trip chimed in: "4x platinum and ain't got 3 mill . But hey, commemorative plaques are just as valuable...right?"

Lito went on: "You're making my point 'bruh'. It's not about me. It's about the $3Million you wish you had to wire to Black Iverson. Post responded, "he himself [Allen Iverson] fucks with the track 'bruh'... 'bruh' just stay out of shit that don't involve you 'bruh.'" Lito retorted, "How mad are you?? On a scale from 1 to Triple Platinum.. you know Black Iverson had to have thicker skin than this...& hair," and Post shot back, "wow never heard that shit before. what u saying don't affect me at all. enjoy the rest of your already over career bye bruh!"

We talked to Post and Starlito after their social media exchange, but we'll have their sides of the story tomorrow.
