Kevin Abstract’s Group Brockhampton Will Release Their Second Mixtape ‘Saturation’ Next Month

Kevin Abstract's group Brockhampton is prepared to release their second mixtape. The Texas native announced their new project with a simple message on Instagram.

"Our 2nd mixtape. next month," Abstract wrote in the caption for a post of the mixtape's cover artwork, which you can see above.

Brockhampton made their debut in March 2016, dropping a free project called All-American Trash. The project introduced a wider audience to Abstract's fellow members: Dom McLennon, Bearface, Matt Champion, JOBA, Ameer Vann, Merlyn Wood, Rodney Tenor and Romil Hemnani. The 13-track mixtape can still be streamed on SoundCloud or downloaded via this link.

The Saturation mixtape presumably features "Cannon," which was released by the group in February. The soulful track debuted in captivating music video directed by Abstract.

The new Brockhampton project will be Abstract's second release in the last six months. The "Runner" artist put together an EP titled Kilmer 2, comprised of previously unreleased material, and dropped it on SoundCloud. The six-track EP gave fans a little extra music following the release of his long awaited American Boyfriend: A Suburban Love Story album.

While Abstract is currently focused on Brockhampton's mixtape, he's got a big gig set for the summer. Abstract is scheduled to perform at the 2017 Afropunk Festival, which takes place in Brooklyn on August 26-27. The young artist will share the stage with the likes of Kaytranada, The Cool Kids and Willow Smith.
