Humility might not be one of Drake's best traits when he's rhyming, but he's proved at times that he has no problem giving credit where credit is due.

Last night (May 5), Aubrey was sitting court side for the Toronto Raptors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game. During halftime of the match up, cameras spotted Drizzy greeting Canadian music legend, Gord Downie, with a bow and an embrace.

Downie is the man in Canada as he is the lead singer of the rock band, The Tragically Hip. He has also had much success as a solo artist, dropping five LPs, including Secret Path in 2016. It was recently announced that Downie has been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor, but the rocker has continued to do shows. Aubrey and Downie went on to see their home-team squad get mashed on to the tune of 115-94.

Drake's popularity and NBA presence has led to him being assigned to host the first ever NBA Awards Show. Where post-season NBA awards are typically given out unceremoniously. The League has decided to make a thing out of it this year. With Drizzy at the helm, the inaugural event will honor the NBA's best, giving out trophies for Kia’s NBA Most Valuable Player, Kia’s NBA Rookie of the Year, Kia’s NBA Sixth Man Award, Kia’s NBA Defensive Player of the Year, Kia’s NBA Most Improved Player and NBA Coach of the Year.

The show airs on Mon., June 26.
