Years ago, C-Murder was convicted of shooting and killing a Louisiana teenager  by the name of Steve Thomas outside of a nightclub, and he was sentenced to life in prison in 2009. The thing is, he still has to pay up.

The New Orleans Advocate reports that Jefferson Parish's Judge Glenn Ansardi found C-Murder, born Corey Miller, liable in a 2013 civil proceeding revolving around the murder of the 16-year-old Thomas. On Wednesday (May 10), Judge Ansardi ordered the former No Limit rapper to pay $500,000 to each of Thomas' parents and $150,000 to "account for "the victim's suffering."

While that is a lot of money for any two people to be receiving, Trey Mustian, who's acted as the parents' attorney, says the "order is more of a vindication of their son than any potential monetary award."

C-Murder had been knee-deep in a promising rap career alongside his brother Master P at the time he was convicted of murdering Thomas. Since he's been incarcerated, Master P and his son have gone on to flourish financially.

Recently, Master P has been putting out a ton of new music, going through a sort of renaissance by signing Marqus Clae and releasing a few music videos. C-Murder remains incarcerated to this day.
