Following in the footsteps of 2Pac and Gucci Mane, Bump J has hit the ground running fresh off getting released from the pen. According to a new report, the Chicago rhyme-slinger was recently spotted in the studio with the likes of Jeremih and Rockie Fresh. He's also reportedly done at least four songs with super-producer, Cardo.

There's no word on when we can expect any new music from Bump, but he's got some good people in his corner. Cardo is fresh off producing some major heat on Kendrick Lamar's DAMN., while Bump's fellow Chicagoan Rockie Fresh has been aligned with MMG for a while now. And of course, we already know Jeremih is a go-to hook man for big singles.

With talented collaborators in tow, Bump is looking to re-integrate himself into an industry that's changed quite a bit since he went to jail back in 2009. Last summer, we spoke to him about how he felt he'd fit into rap when he was released.

“I think it won’t be much different than when I was out,” he told XXL. “I’ve gotten better musically because I’m just a better man, mentally. So, I think hip-hop will love me just the same, if not more. People respect struggle and stand up niggas. I took my lick and never told, so I will always be respected as a man and that’s what’s important. Music has always been the easy part to me.”

Keep an eye out for new music from Bump. It should be coming pretty soon.
