Young Thug has just cleared a pretty big legal hurdle after being accused of slapping a woman at a nightclub back in March. According to TMZ, the Jeffery artist has avoided the battery charges leveled against him.

The case was apparently presented to the court in an attempt to see if there was enough evidence to move forward with the charges, but a judge ruled there wasn't and threw out the case. This is pretty much as open-and-shut as a court case can get.

The alleged incident supposedly took place in the parking lot of Palace nightclub back in March, when one woman engaged Thugger's fiancée in an aggressive argument. The woman alleges Thugger slapped her in the midst of the spat. Although TMZ has a video of some of the incident, there isn't actually footage of Thugger slapping anyone, so the judge's move can't really be considered a surprising one. You can see video of the alleged incident right here.

This is just the second bit of good legal news Thugger's gotten in the last several days. Last week, the rapper was let off the hook for gun and drug charges stemming from when police raided his Sandy Springs, Ga. home back in July 2015.

After the raid, Thugger was charged with cocaine possession, marijuana possession and three counts of felony gun possession. Luckily for him, his lawyers argued that police hadn't used a proper warrant when they raided the Slime Season 3 rapper's home, so the D.A. dropped all charges against the rapper. All in all, these recent legal outcomes are big wins for one of the rap game's biggest stars.
