Things are looking up for West Coast rookie Phora, who has a lot brewing for him for the rest of 2017 when it comes to his rising music career. The Cali rapper and former tattoo artist has officially signed to Warner Bros. Records this week following the success of his With Love project that he released last year independently.

In a press release sharing the news, VP of A&R Eesean Bolden spoke on the signing of the young MC. "He has a very dedicated and loyal fan base. He's built a community of fans that have inherently followed his career from day one," said Bolden. "We just want to help expand that base and bring more fans into his ecosystem." Back in February, Phora released his debut single "Slow Down" through the record label; it's since hit almost one million views on Youtube.

It's been a rough road for Phora over the years, as the rapper survived a brutal stabbing, an almost-fatal car crash and a shooting. Despite his tough times, the he's only been inspired by his experiences to go harder with his rap career, and he's even rhymed about them on some of his records.

Congratulations to Phora on another major milestone for his swiftly budding career. You can also catch him on his Yours Truly Tour, which kicks off on June 20. Peep the dates below.
