Smokepurpp has ben heating up lately and things just got a bit hotter for the MC.

The Florida rapper has dropped a few tracks this year such as “Houdini” with Madeintyo, “She Say,” which dropped a little over a month ago, and “No Smoke.” Now, Smokepurpp officially has a deal. Yesterday, the MC signed a record deal with Todd Moscowitz’s new label Alamo Records under Universal Music Group. As a bonus gift, he also received a diamond chain worth $50,000.

Moscowitz helped jumpstart 1017 with Gucci Mane and was most recently running 300 Ent. with Lyor Cohen and Kevin Liles. But last year Moscowitz announced he was leaving the company to start a new venture, and now Smokepurpp's about to be a part of it.

Smokepurpp has been making a lot of noise coming out of Florida. He is among a lot of other talent that came out of Florida such as Lil Pumpm XXXTentacion, Kodak Black and others. Different from other artists, Smokepurpp has created a sound and a wave for himself like no other. The song “She Say” proves it. That record has already accumulated over 743,000 plays since it’s release last month. “No Smoke” has over a million plays since its release in January. With his crushing work ethic and some big collabs in the works, Smokepurpp is proving himself to be another great artist coming out of Miami.

With a movement that included building a huge fan base and now this new deal, Smokepurpp is ready to take on 2017 full throttle. Look for his debut mixtape to drop soon.
