The 2017 XXL Freshman class will be revealed this summer and now the Freshman hopefuls are here to show and prove why they deserve a spot in this year’s class. The 10th Spot voting is happening now, so each of the potential Freshman are letting you know why they should appear on the 2017 XXL Freshman cover.

Remy Boy Monty, a member of Fetty Wap’s Remy Boyz 1738 collective, is one of this year's XXL Freshman candidates who hopes to land a potential spot on the coveted cover. Monty enjoyed early success as an artist in 2015, with his guest appearance on Fetty's chart-topping hits "My Way" and "679." He looks to continue bringing that New Jersey flavor his rhyming partner-in-crime brought to the limelight with his mega hit "Trap Queen." With just one mixtape under his belt and a growing buzz in the industry, this Patterson, N.J. native aims to be the latest sensation to blow up out of the Garden State.

The 10th spot voting for 2017 XXL Freshman will run for one week. This is where the public gets the chance to vote an artist into the XXL Freshman Class. Go here to the 10th spot voting page to make your vote count for your favorite artist.
