The 2017 XXL Freshman class will be revealed this summer and now the Freshman hopefuls are here to show and prove why they deserve a spot in this year’s class. The 10th Spot voting is happening now, so each of the potential Freshman are letting you know why they should appear on the 2017 XXL Freshman cover.

Young Atlanta rapper Kodie Shane looks to follow in the footsteps of her fellow Sailing Team member Lil Yachty as she aims to land a spot on the coveted XXL Freshman Class cover this year. Starting her rap career at the young age of 14, Shane's early buzz in the Atlanta rap scene got her noticed by the likes of Lil Yachty and Coach K, which eventually landed her a spot on Yachty's Sailing Team. With a strong online fan base and millions and millions of streams on SoundCloud, her ultimate goal in hip-hop is to continue making music for the youth while also aspiring to win a Grammy some day.
