Kanye West’s Cousin Loses a Son
Tragedy has once again hit the family of Kanye West. On Monday (March 14), the Graduation artist's cousin Ricky Anderson's one-year-old son, Avery, died in his sleep after showing no visible signs of any illnesses, according to TMZ.
Ricky, who works at Kanye's G.O.O.D. Music label in L.A., paid tribute to his baby boy on his Instagram, uploading several heartfelt posts in the hours after Avery's death.
"Today was the worst day of my life! I lost my lil man and gained an angel! Rest in Paradise!!! I love you man," he wrote in one post. "My heart," he wrote in another. Avery had celebrated his first birthday shortly before his tragic death.
For Kanye and his family, this is another entry into what has been a very difficult last several months. In October, Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint while attending Paris Fashion Week. A little over a month later, Kanye canceled the remainder of his Saint Pablo tour and checked himself into a hospital for “temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration.” It was at least a week before he returned home.
We'd like to extend our condolences to Ricky, Kanye, and all of their family members at this time.
