Rapper DaBaby Shows Up in Just a Diaper to 2017 SXSW

Charlotte rapper DaBaby may be taking his stage name just a little too far.

A video has surfaced on the internet in which the rapper appears at the 2017 SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas wearing nothing but a diaper, a towel on his head and rocking a fresh pair of Jordans. Throughout the short clip, DaBaby sips from his Styrofoam cup and recites his name “DaBaby, DaBaby, DaBaby, DaBaby.”

The video doesn’t go on for much longer but DaBaby’s entourage is also seen behind him. Two of the guys from his crew are holding signs showing a smiling baby draped in gold chains.

This could be a publicity stunt of some sort but it’s confirmed that DaBaby is literally living out his name to the fullest.

The young rhymer released the mixtape God’s Work: Resurrected last year, with features from Boosie Badazz and production from Sean Da Firzt, JStacks, Slim Hood and Krazy Figz.

His video “Intro” dropped as a follow-up to the project. Throughout the visual, he explains why he decided to change his name from Baby Jesus to DaBaby.
