Today (March 17), Rick Ross‘ ninth studio album Rather You Than Me is out for everybody to hear. It includes a song called “Idols Become Rivals” that finds Rozay going directly at Birdman, dissing him about not doing right by Lil Wayne, screwing over producers like Mannie Fresh and Scott Storch, and never visiting B.G. in prison.

Now, Baby has responded, telling Billboard“I don’t get caught up in hoe shit, man. I just keep doing what I’m doing and keep pushing. I don’t get caught up in that, I don’t play like that. I’m a man and I stand my ground and I do my thing. Numbers don’t lie, and that’s all I give a fuck about: numbers, and puttin’ them up.”

In the aftermath of the diss, Ross posted a picture of Wayne to Instagram explaining why he released the record. “The Level of respect and Love that I have for WAYNE makes it hard to sit back and not speak on the situation,” Rick Ross says in his IG post. “The streets need you.Being a Boss means having the courage to say the things everybody thinking but scared to say.I can’t wait for you to hear it.Midnight. #idolsbecomerivals.”

Wayne posted Rozay’s message to Twitter and added, “dam big bro that msg hit me in the heart and put the motivation on automatik start,” says Wayne. “I needed that. 1 boss 2 another.”
