For rap fans, the only thing more satisfying than a good old fashioned beef between two superstars is those same rappers squashing it. When a beef officially ends, all sorts of possibilities open up, and even if they're usually left unfulfilled, that tantalizing potential for rappers to create magic in the studio rarely fails to capture the imaginations of big time rap fans.

When the beef between The Game and 50 Cent solidified back in 2005, fans were left wondering how great the two could have been as collaborators if they'd chosen to stay the course. So when the two MCs finally buried the hatchet last year, at least a few fans began wondering if they'd be hitting the studio together once again.

Post-beef rap reunions are fun because of the elusive chance that the feuding rappers could one day make music. However, if there's a possibiltiy for estranged rappers to ever reunite, reunions that don't come after fiery beefs are more plausible.

Diddy didn't have insurmountable beefs with his Bad Boy crew when he began putting together his Bad Body Reunion tour, and that made it much easier for him to organize the performance spree that actualized the dreams of nostalgic 1990s rap fans everywhere.

Similarly, Drake, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj were never outright beefing with one another, so we can probably take the photos they've recently appeared together in as a sign that they could be reuniting in the studio together in the near future.

Rapper reunions take all forms, from tours to simple meetings behind the scenes. Today, XXL takes a look at rappers who've reunited over the last two years. Peep our list for yourself below.

  • Nicki Minaj and Gucci Mane

Back in September 2013, Gucci Mane and Nicki Minaj exchanged some not-so-nice words with each other on Twitter, and because Guwop went to prison a relatively short time later, they never really got the chance to make up.

When Gucci was released from prison last May, he almost instantly made good with several other rappers he'd dissed during the same tirade, but Nicki wasn't one of them.

On Feb. 8, La Flare shared an Instagram photo of himself posing with the The Pinkprint artist and even appeared to tease a collaboration in the caption.

"Salute and much respect to @nickiminaj Zone6 stand up!!! #staytuned Legendary," Gucci's caption reads.

Staying tuned is all we can do now.

  • Jay Z, Beanie Sigel and Freeway

In 2015, it seemed like Jay Z was much more likely to show up in public with Barack Obama than he was with any members of State Property. After all, the Black Album artist was already worth half-a-billion dollars, and Beanie, who'd thrown some serious shade at Hov with diss songs, had seen his finances crumble in the years since he collaborated with the Roc Nation boss.

Although Beans apologized, it seemed like the ship for him to link up with his former comrade had sailed a long time ago. So it was completely surprising when the rapper joined Jay onstage at the Tidal B-Sides concert in Brooklyn in May 2015.

During their reunion, Freeway also made his way onto the stage with Jay and Beans, and the group performed “You, Me, Him, & Her” for the first time in close to forever.

In an interview with HipHopSince1987, Beans broke down his feelings about the reunion with Hov. “It was good,” he said after being asked about the performance. “It was what it was supposed to be. Perfect timing. I got a call—Before the show I probably got a call a month prior to that. And was like ‘Yo, we got a meeting. I need you to clear these two dates for me.’ So, I didn’t know what was going on. I was like ‘Alright, they cleared.’ I kept asking…So, as time goes by I’m thumbing through the ‘Gram, I said ‘Oh! Let me find out.’ And then it was what it was.”

Jay and Beans haven't been seen with each other in public since, but any fan of mid-2000s rap still gets chills when thinking about the brief reunion between the two rap titans.

  • Lil Wayne and Birdman

In December 2014, Lil Wayne let the world know that all was not well between himself and Birdman, the person he'd so often called his father. During an incendiary Twitter tirade, Weezy explained his belief that the Cash Money boss was responsible for delaying the release of his album, Tha Carter V, and the "Fireman" performer simply wasn't having it.

At the time, TMZ reported that Weezy was going to sue Birdman to get out of Cash Money if he didn't release the fifth installment of Wayne's Tha Carter series. Eventually, Weezy followed through on his threat.

With this context in mind, everyone was completely shocked when Mack Maine shared an Instagram photo of Weezy and Baby at Drake's New Year's Eve party in 2015. In the caption Mack Maine wrote, "Happy New Year ya heard me!!! Yea that's Stunna yea that's Tune yea that's 2Chainz yea that Hood yea that's T@ yea that's Mack yea 2 da yea love 2 da love!!!! #FamilyLiveAtDrakePartyHePerformingRightNow."

The photo seemed to be a sign that things were back to normal for the rappers who were once so close. Unfortunately, they weren't, and the two are still battling in court to this day.

  • N.W.A

Seven months or so before the release of the biopic Straight Outta ComptonIce Cube set a goal for himself, claiming that he wanted to reunite with N.W.A. He made good on his goal in April of last year, bringing out MC Ren and DJ Yella onstage for his set at Coachella 2016.

Although Dr. Dre couldn't make it, the performance was still a lively one. During the course of their appearance, Cube, Ren and Yella transported fans to the mid-1980s as they performed their timeless tracks, “Straight Outta Compton” and “Fuck tha Police."

  • Gucci Mane and Rocko

Things can only go downhill when you challenge someone's manhood, especially in the hyper-masculine world of hip-hop. And that's exactly how things played out when Gucci Mane tweeted out some very disrespectful things directed at fellow Atlanta MC Rocko during his legendary Twitter rant.

“Just seen. Rocko. Ge ask me. 1 question. All most was. With his maker. Who next. He cried like a hoe. N ran,” Guwop tweeted back in September 2013.

Gucci had been out of prison for almost a year when the two posed for a picture at Mike Vick's retirement party during the weekend of the 2017 Super Bowl. Gucci captioned the photo, "“My partner @rocko2real #DroptopWop and A1" and their beef had seemingly come to an end.

We're not sure how the two rappers came to settle their differences, but we're glad they did.

  • Jay Z, Ja Rule and DMX

During the final stop of Beyonce's Formation world tour last year, Jay Z, Ja Rule and DMX posed for a picture backstage, momentarily reminding fans of what a dope group they would've made together. Irv Gotti appeared to be the person responsible for snapping this gem of a picture, captioning it, "My Niggas!! Murder Inc The Group. #immortals."

These three rappers were never really beefing, but considering the Jigga Man's status as cultural elite, it didn't seem all that likely that they'd ever be in the same room together ever again. The Queen Bey's world tour was clearly a special occasion.

  • Drake, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne

Between Lil Wayne's dispute with Birdman and Drake's beef with Nicki Minaj's then-boyfriend Meek Mill, it didn't seem all that likely that we'd be seeing the core of Young Money Cash Money together any time soon.

Then, Nicki broke up with Meek Milly, and a window for the three rappers to reconnect was pushed wide open. A few weeks after crashing Weezy's appearance on NFL Network, Nicki appeared in a selfie with Drizzy and then in a picture with the Toronto rapper and Weezy. Drizzy uploaded the last photo, appropriately captioning it, "Big 3."

  • Diddy and Bad Boy

Diddy's Bad Boy Reunion tour was the reunion to end all reunions. The tour saw Diddy conjure the glory of Bad Boy's mid-1990s heyday, bringing Lil’ Kim, Mase, Faith Evans, the Lox, 112, Mario Winans, Total, French Montana and Carl Thomas along to tour all over the U.S. for an all-out nostalgia fest.

The tour was on the road from Aug. 25 to Oct. 8, 2016, and contemporary rap superstars were brought out onstage at almost every stop along the way. Pretty much everything went about as well as it could have. Sometimes the story with the least drama still ends up being the most entertaining.

  • 50 Cent and The Game

From the moment "How We Do" was released back in 2004, it was clear that The Game and 50 Cent would rule as the rap game's most fearsome tandem. Then, just a few months after the song dropped, the two began a very, very serious feud, and the rest is history.

The two haven't worked together since The Game's first album, The Documentary, dropped 12 years ago, and they've exchanged more than a few disses since their beef first became public.

It didn't appear that they'd ever, ever be cool again, but last summer, the two were spotted embracing at King of Diamonds in Los Angeles. At one point during the night, Game shocked everyone by stepping onstage and announcing that his beef with Fif was over and encouraging everyone to drink Effen Vodka, a vodka brand 50's helped promote over the last few years.

  • The Geto Boys

In 2015, The Geto Boys stood as one of the greatest rap groups ever, but as is usually the case with groups that have been together for a prolonged period of time, the rigors of life gradually brought them apart.

While Scarface was still a pretty successful solo rapper, Willie D and Bushwick Bill had both spent time in jail in the years after the last Geto Boys album. Bushwick Bill was famously deported back in 2010.

Despite their struggles and seemingly divergent life journeys, the group eventually decided to reunite for a month-long tour in the summer of 2015. There was even talk of a new album.

"We know that we want to do a record but it's a situation where right now we're at the point of getting the paperwork done right so everybody's on the same page," the MC told XXL in an exclusive interview at the time. "Once we get the paperwork done then we can do it."

A new Geto Boys album never materialized, but vibrant concerts from one of the most revered groups in rap history did.

  • The Juice Crew

Comprised of rap legends like Big Daddy Kane, Marley Marl, Roxanne Shanté, Craig G and more, the Juice Crew was one of the most fearsome rap cliques in the 1980s. Unlike a few other instances we'll cover on this list, there wasn't some grand confrontation to blame for the New York rap collective's lack of activity. Ultimately, most of their careers had lasted long enough to justify slowing down by the time they reunited for a show on Dec. 29, 2016.

On that day, Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, Craig G and more all took the stage at the B.B. King's Blues Club & Grill in New York. Though they hadn't performed together in a long, long time, they were pretty sharp during their performance, which you can see for yourself below.
