Fans of the early Cash Money days will be happy about this news. Birdman has plans to drop 500 unreleased, old Cash Money songs in 2017.

The Cash Money Records CEO posted an Instagram photo of a storage area containing a bunch of old music on Wednesday (Feb. 1). Baby captioned the picture, which can be viewed below, "Wen in my VAULT today found thousands of OLD CASHMONEY MUSIC will release 500 songs this Year #CASHMONEY COLLECTION."

The New Orleans native founded Cash Money Records in 1991. U.N.L.V. (Uptown Niggas Living Violently) was one of the earliest groups on the roster, and it featured artists Kilo G, Lil Slim, Pimp Daddy and PxMxWx. In 1995, Cash Money signed its second wave of artists, picking up young rappers B.G., Turk and Lil Wayne. Two years later, Weezy, B.G. and Juvenile formed the group Hot Boys, who went on to have major success.

Of course, Cash Money is known for its big three nowadays: Lil Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj. The label's relationship with its major artists -- especially Wayne and Drake -- has been strained for some time now. For example, Lil Wayne's Carter V album has been pushed back multiple times due to issues between Tunechi and Birdman.

Cash Money fans were happy to see Weezy, Drizzy and Nicki re-unite for an Instagram photo yesterday (Feb. 1). Now, fans of the old Cash Money should be pleased that Baby plans to put out 500 unreleased tracks. The 47-year-old MC is also preparing the next Rich Gang project, which will consist of him and Young Thug -- no Rich Homie Quan.
