Raekwon turns 47 today (Jan. 12) and celebrates by sharing the release date and cover art for his new album, The Wild. The LP will be the Wu-Tang Clan member's first project since 2015's Fly International Luxurious Art.

The cover for the album, which is slated to drop on March 10 via ICEH20 Records, features a cartoon version of a giant Raekwon rocking gold chains and holding a gold microphone. The buildings in the background resemble speakers, and one is decorated with a Wu-Tang logo.

Around the release of his last LP, XXL caught up with The Chef to talk about his ambitions while having an established legacy. Although Raekwon has already cemented his legendary status in hip-hop, he explained that he's always trying to improve.

“I mean, just getting better, you know? Practicing on my craft and really trying to always step the bar up,” Rae told XXL. “You know, when you a legend, it ain’t easy to still be around, so that kind of gives me the ability to still go out there and push it all the way to the limit because of how people look at me. Being in the game for a long time can only make me a more passionate artist and that’s where I’m at. It’s like I’m better than I was 20 years ago in my eyes, so it’s more about celebrating and showing people that I am still here with a more latch on the music I love.”

The album is apparently already done, so fans should be hearing the lead single in the near future.
