Transportation service Uber may have just lost one of their biggest advocates in the hip-hop industry. "Uber Everywhere" creator Madeintyo says he will no longer use the service, presumably over the company CEO's reported alliance with President Trump.

The Atlanta-based rapper sent out the following announcement to his 227k Twitter followers earlier today (Jan. 29). "usta uber a lot , not no moeeee."

That was followed by the tweet, "2017: @lyft everywhere."

Lastly, he added, "@lyft everywhere backwoods & ah zip," which is an alteration of a line from his Uber-friendly hit single.

It's pretty safe to assume TYO is reacting to the recent controversy that surrounds Uber CEO Travis Kalanick, and the mass anti-Uber sentiment that has followed, combined with competitor Lyft's pledge to give $1 million to the American Civil Liberties Union.

Kalanick and his company have come under fire over the weekend after being accused of breaking a strike put on by the New York City Taxi Worker's Alliance, that was in response to Trump's Muslim ban, combined with two Iraqis being detained at the airport as soon as the order was enacted. The hash tag #DeleteUber has since been trending.

Since the public outcry, Kalanick has issued a statement where he pledges to do the things in his power to assist those impacted by Trump’s order.

“At Uber we’ve always believed in standing up for what’s right. Today we need your help supporting drivers who may be impacted by the President’s unjust immigration ban,” he wrote. "Drivers who are citizens of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria or Yemen and live in the US but have left the country, will not be able to return for 90 days. This means they won’t be able to earn money and support their families during this period. So it’s important that as a community that we do everything we can to help these drivers," he added.

Uber is losing a huge ally. TYO's hit single surely helped boost profits on its way to platinum status.

TYO isn't the only rapper canning Uber. Portland MC Amine has also kicked them to the curb.
