Producer Karriem Riggins is preparing to drop his album Headnod Suite on Feb. 24. On Jan. 25, the Detroit native unleashed "4Es'J & Oddness," a record expected to land on his forthcoming LP.

"4Es'J & Oddness" is a two-and-a-half-minute, rhythmic blend of sounds which come together to form one incredible hip-hop instrumental, which you can check out above on SoundCloud. The record is soothing, yet fast-paced and refreshing enough to keep one's attention throughout. No wonder Riggins has produced for some of hip-hop's greats, including Kanye West, Common and The Roots.

The song premiered on the Stones Throw Records website, and in that post, Riggins talks about the concept behind his upcoming body of work.

Headnod Suite is a concept of several rhythmic ideas fused together,” Riggins says. “I wanted to explore the power of interludes and marrying different styles and harmony together.”

In other Karriem Riggins-related news, the D-town repper recently spoke with XXL's Max Weinstein for an in-depth interview about his father (who was a jazz musician), his beat for Kanye's "30 Hours," and his work on Common's new album Black America Again.

As aforementioned, you can listen to ""4Es'J & Oddness" courtesy of SoundCloud. Karriem Riggin's new album Headnod Suite is releasing on Feb. 24. You can pre-order the 29-track album via iTunes now.
