A video set in Australia turned into a crime scene on Monday (Jan. 23) when local actor Johann Ofner was fatally shot in the chest. The video was for Aussie hip-hop duo Bliss n Eso, a broadcast news report from Seven News explaining the incident above.

Detective Inspector Tom Armitt told reporters that, "a number of firearms were being used during the scene," though he could not clarify whether they were real or props. "We do not know how the injuries occurred at this point in time," he said.

The band, who are planning to release a new album come March, issued a statement on the death via Facebook, saying, "We were not on set at the time and our management team are currently working with the police and the production company filming the video to get more details. The three of us are extremely upset and shaken up by this and our hearts and prayers go out to the victim's family and friends as well as the cast and crew who were involved in the clip today."

Ofner was a stuntman, with Seven News reporting above that the weapon used was a double barrel shotgun. The shooting took place in a bar known as the Brooklyn Standard with an on-site reporter saying that police were still taking evidence from the scene.
