It really doesn't feel it's been four years since 2 Chainz dropped his last album, but it has. Tity Boi has of course kept his name popping in the street by way of mixtapes and his impeccable business acumen. But now it's LP time again. The Atlanta rapper has been giving hints that the new album Pretty Girls Like Trap Music is coming soon, but he recently made it official, revealing the release date for the project.

Chainz unveiled the date via Instagram as April 7. Posting a picture of himself and Drake in the studio, he captioned the pic, "#PrettyGirlsLikeTrapMusic 4/7."

It was only two weeks ago that the Hair Weave Killer revealed the title for the project.

He has also teased some possible collabs on the album. At the beginning of the month, he teased a possible guest appearance from Justin Bieber.

Over the weekend, he jumped in the studio with Drake and previewed a snippet of a new track on social media.

PGLTM will be his first solo LP since 2013’s B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time. The album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, selling 63,000 units in its first week out. It was spearheaded by the tracks "Feds Watching" featuring Pharrell and "Used To" produced by Mannie Fresh.

Last year, he put out the collab project with Lil Wayne, ColleGrove. He also put out three well received mixtapes Felt Like Cappin,' Daniel Son; Necklace Don and Hibachi for Lunch.
