Update (Dec. 14, 5:32 p.m. EST):

The Compton rapper has some more words for Kanye on Wednesday, urging him to mention to Trump the recent shooting and arrest of an unarmed black man. Read YG's message to Yeezus below.

Original Story:

YG's disdain for Donald Trump is well known. With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that the Compton rapper was not happy about Kanye West meeting with the President-elect today (Dec. 12) in New York. YG posted a photo of Kanye and Trump together with some emojis expressing his fury.

Kanye's meeting with Trump has not gone over well with a lot of observers, but the G.O.O.D. Music founder explained his decision in a series of tweets. Yeezy said he spoke with Trump in an attempt to address some issues plaguing his hometown of Chicago.

“I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues,” he wrote. “These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago. I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change. #2024″

Kanye reaching across the aisle did not sit well with YG. The West Coast rhymer has been speaking out against Trump for most of the year, highlighted by his protest anthem "FDT." YG spoke about the importance of the song after police shut down the video shoot for the single.

"We speaking for a lot of people who are not really speaking up or they got nobody in no situation that’s really gonna put it all on the line for they race [and] they culture," he said. "We feel a similar way everybody else feels. We just took it on the chest. Like, ‘Look, This is what we about to do. We gonna speak on it.’ Fuck whatever consequences and all of that. We gonna deal with it.”

YG made a Trump piñata part of his live show, and it looks like he might add a Kanye one to the mix if something doesn't change.

Maybe this is all a power play, as A$AP Ferg seems to think. Peep Nipsey's thoughts on the Kanye and Trump's relationship as well below.
