Legendary gospel singer Pastor Shirley Caesar is giving thanks to Snoop Dogg after he created a g-funk holiday version of the U Name It Challenge. You can peep snoop's bouncier reinvention of the track up top.

The gospel artist saw nothing but good in Snoop's adaptation of her song, which is has been a viral sensation for at least a month now. "I thank Snoop Dogg for doing such a marvelous job. Even the church accepted it," Pastor Caesar said in an interview OWN Network's "Where Are They Now" this past weekend. "So thank you Snoop."

Pastor Caesar became a viral sensation when a video of her singing a list of vegetables was juxtaposed with the question: "Grandma, what are you cooking for Thanksgiving?" In the days since first surfacing, remixes to the clip have become ubiquitous. Now, the gospel queen hopes other rappers will help continue the movement. She also hopes a female rapper can get in on the action.

"I want more longevity of that rap and I think now that we have Snoop Dogg, I'd like to see a female do it. I'd like to see Missy Elliott, I'd like to hear her do it," she said in her interview. "I saw some funny things, I'm telling you. When they said challenge everybody came out with something that was crazy."

Snoop hasn't commented on Pastor Caesar's "thank you" yet, but he's recently been doing some cooking of his own. A little while ago, he started a cooking show with Martha Stewart. Maybe he'll perform the song during a new episode?
