Yesterday (Dec. 7), Riz MC, otherwise known as actor Riz Ahmed of The Night Of, appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote his new movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Fallon put the actor's freestyle abilities to the test by giving Ahmed some Star Wars topics to rap about.

Ahmed impressed Fallon by referencing Yoda, Darth Vader and Lando Calrissian in the freestyle, which was backed by The Roots. Although Ahmed is best known as an actor, he has shown his skill as a rapper in the Swet Shop Boys. But his rapping prowess doesn't make him any less star struck when he meets some famous MCs. During his run on the HBO series The Night Of, he got to work with the likes of Treach and Lord Jamar. Ahmed told XXL that there was one special day when Lord Jamar complimented his raps.

"I grew up listening to a lot of those guys so it was kind of a moment just meeting them, let alone working with them," Ahmed said. "They are all incredible actors and brought a brilliant authenticity to the show. I got to work with Jamar a little more than some of the other guys. I played him my track 'Sour Times.' I wasn’t sure what he would think of it, with the British accent and the string arrangements and stuff I do. He was like, “Yo, that’s really hip-hop.” He was really into it. That was a real moment to me."

Wednesday's Tonight Show had qutie a few musical treats. The Roots also teamed with Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto for a performance of the “Super Mario Bros.” theme song. You can check that out below.
