There were reports swirling around that Kodak Black had been shot in his hometown of Pompano Beach on Monday (Dec. 26). A was video posted to Twitter of the supposed crime scene. A representative for the rapper confirm with XXL that Kodak is fine and the rumors are false.

Kodak’s breakout year was sidelined when the rapper was accused of criminal sexual conduct and extradited to a South Carolina jail in late November. He was released on bond a few days later, saying on Instagram, “I’m happy to finally be going home to my family and friends. I look forward to clearing my name in the very near future. I want to thank God, my family, my team… Atlantic Records, my lawyers and all of my fans for your continuous love and support. I can’t wait to get back to doing what I love most – working at being the illest rapper alive.” A week later, his single “Lockjaw” with French Montana went certified gold.

Elsewhere in fake news, A$AP Rocky is shooting down any rumors that Playboi Carti had met an untimely demise, saying on social media, “Niggas tryna come at my bro talking bout he died and shit. Fuck outta here. We don’t die, we multiply, nigga.” In September, Rocky told a packed crowd that Carti signed to Interscope.

Catch that video below and it is reassuring to know both rappers are good health.
