Kodak Black is not happy about other artists using his broccoli slang. The Florida rapper expressed his displeasure on Instagram after listening to D.R.A.M.'s hit single "Broccoli."

"Man, what the fuck, man?" Kodak said after playing a clip of D.R.A.M.'s song. "Who these niggas is jocking my lil' swag, man, talking bout broccoli, man. Nah, I'm saying you niggas don't smoke broccoli. Look for now on, man, I don't smoke broccoli no more. I smoke cantaloupe since y'all square ass niggas tryna jack the swag. I smoke cantaloupe now."

The 2016 XXL Freshman then changed his mind, posting another video to Instagram. In the second video, Kodak banned other artists from using the word broccoli.

"You niggas can't say broccoli no more," he said. "You niggas gotta say spinach or some shit. You niggas don't smoke broccoli, y'all smoke spinach."

Kodak first used the broccoli slang in 2014. His song "No Flockin" featured the following line: "Told the doctor I'm a healthy kid, I smoke broccoli."

Lil Yachty, a fellow member of the 2016 XXL Freshman class and the lone guest on D.R.A.M.'s smash hit, has responded to Kodak's criticism. The Atlanta rapper claims he always shows love to Kodak when performing the song.

"Anytime before I perform the song "Broccoli," I say shouts out to that nigga Kodak," Lil Yachty said. "Second of all, I don't even smoke broccoli. I don't give a fuck about weed. That's just how it is. I ain't never been no square ass nigga. I address shit how it is. I showed all my respect, but nigga I ain't never been no square, nigga."

Kodak might seem late to the party on D.R.A.M. and Lil Yachty's "Broccoli" track, but he was released from jail just two weeks ago. The "SKRT" artist missed the song's meteoric rise over the last couple of months.
